Employee Type: Full time Location: GA Atlanta/Tucker Job Type: Production Maintenance Job Posting Title: Electrical Technician (Electrician E-Tech) - Food Production Plant Job Description: Willingness to take full responsibility for personal safety and the safety of fellow team members Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Execute preventative and corrective maintenance work orders Properly document activities as to actual work done, parts used on process-critical equipment. Assist in improving PM procedures by participating in procedure audits and reviews, recommending PM changes based on personal observations, etc. Maintain motor control centers power distribution and switchgear, electrical and electronic circuitry, overload protection, and wiring complex circuits Ensure all electrical and mechanical work meets established NEC codes; document and report any discrepancies for correction Respond to, troubleshoot and diagnose emergencies or breakdowns with production equipment Perform all other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Three (3)years of experience as a manufacturing or industrial electrician Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics, electrical troubleshooting experience of electrical control systems (i.e. motor controls, relay logic, PLC, Ladder Logic, AC/DC drives, basic instrumentation, and low voltage switchgear) Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience with preventative, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance practices Experience with industry codes and standards (ex. NEC, UL, NFPA) Experience measuring, cutting, and bending conduit Experience pulling and terminating wires Experience using electrical test tools, hand tools, power tools, multimeters, measuring devices, bench equipment and shop machines Experience in 480 volt, 3 phase power and controls Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in Electrical Controls, Instrumentation, or Electrical Construction Five years of electrician experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of Device Net and Control Net; along with experience with Ethernet Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems Allen Bradley experience preferred Knowledge of HVAC systems Hormel Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
