Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs to facilitate professional development and continuous learning for team members. Oversee the Learning organization and ensure the application of learning curricula to the businesses. In addition, the position is responsible for developing curricula for key leadership roles across the enterprise.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the design, development and implementation of programs and strategies tailored to meet OE and Learning needs and program goals; designs and executes key programmatic elements of the OE process. Evaluates strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals.

  • Manages the talent management/succession planning and individual development planning process for the enterprise.

  • Leads and provides direction for the enterprise-wide performance management process.

  • Oversees the development of competency models and tools used for selection/assessment. Directs learning initiatives across all lines of business with learning professionals and others with competing demands and priorities.

  • Provides consultative services to the business units regarding organizational effectiveness and Learning projects and initiatives.

  • Provides consultative services to the business units regarding OE & Learning projects and initiatives.

  • Partners with various functional and field business partners to execute their training needs as well as other learning interventions.

  • Leads and develops a team.

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Organizational Effectiveness/Change Management and Learning strategies and initiatives specifically focused in the areas of leadership development and selling skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizational design, change management development, adult learning, assessment and measurement including the ability to move from consultation to design and implementation.

  • Experience managing and leading teams.

  • Must possess strong project management, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Expertise using training/learning design tools as well as the MS Office suite.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.

  • Graduate degree preferred.
