Lead Laboratory Technician Job LocationsUS-GA-MariettaJob ID 2018-3820 Overview Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Coordinate, track and oversee the planning and execution of both client and internal projects. Responsibilities Assists Technical Management in development of test methods for laboratory testing associated with Antimicrobial, Reusable Device, and Custom Studies Assists in planning and reviewing operations, including but not limited to: scheduling, coordinating and maintaining facility standards Interacts with clients and works closely with management and other technicians to ensure laboratory needs are met Ensures thatGMP regulations are being followed by the laboratory technicians Assists in writing controlled documents, and submits procedures to management for approval Performs sample testing as required by applicable client instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including but not limited to: Advanced Antimicrobial test methods, Steam and Cleaning studies, Custom studies, Inoculation / recovery methods, Biofilm, Microbial limits, Total Viable Spore Count, and USP & testing Ensures that laboratory cleaning duties and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) responsibilities are completed according to the appropriate schedule, including environmental monitoring Assists in training Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments. Works under close supervision from supervisor or senior personnel. Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required Maybe required to work Holidays and weekends Maybe required to work Overtime ( Remove only for Exempt positions) Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures. May be required to assist in other departments Other duties as assigned Qualifications Associates or Bachelorï¿½s Degree with 3 years relevant experience. Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices Excellent communication and leadership skills are required. Great attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent time management, and good documentation practices. Be able to perform activities with repetitive motions. Some chemical & organism exposure.
