Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer Senior in Marietta, Georgia

Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer, primarily for structural related details, assemblies and installations on the F-35, supporting Marietta production operations as focal for engineering support on Swing shift. In this position, you will use your technical experience with detailed knowledge of F-35 interchangeability requirements, drawings and specifications, assembly tooling usage, special technology requirements, final finish repairs, and standard structural repairs. Primary responsibilities will include providing MRB engineering support for production of F-35 inner wing in Marietta, but will also include periodic MRB support of F-22 sustainment activities for Mods and Heavy Maintenance, Supply Support, and contactor field teams. Chosen candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily priorities with MRB, Quality, and Production leadership. As an MRB engineer, candidate will be responsible for providing dispositions to non-conforming material documents and will act as a swing shift focal for shop support and coordinating MRB dispositions and engineering requirements. Chosen candidate will support process improvements, incorporate best practices into daily operations, and coordinate lessons learned and needed corrective actions, as appropriate. Will be required to coordinate across a large number of functional areas and LM Aero sites, including Stress/DADT, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials and Processes and Special Technology. CATIA proficiency (1000 hours) is preferred. Some travel may be required to meet F-35 co-production support need. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Some weekend, odd shift and holiday work may be required.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
