Robert Half Finance is looking for a Staff Accountant for a full-time opportunity. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Atlanta, Georgia area, at a company where effort is rewarded. Responsibilities - Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process - Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
