Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioengineering -related fields and two years of research experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Familiarity with engineering concepts is necessary . Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Experience/expertise in 3D printing , cell biology, biomaterials, and tissue engineering will be a PLUS!

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of specialized research and laboratory tests and tasks. In general, performs all responsibilities required for a Lab Manager. Assists in planning and scheduling research procedures. Analyzes and interprets results of studies. Demonstrates and trains others in the proper use/operation of laboratory techniques and equipment. Calibrates, troubleshoots and performs routine repair and maintenance of equipment. Reviews literature for related research developments and techniques. Monitors laboratory processes to maintain quality assurance standards. Records results of studies, compiles and analyzes data and prepares charts and graphs. Monitors the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous substances. Employees in this classification may be required to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents. Submitting a CV including a summary of previous relevant experiences and research interests, plus a minimum of two letters of reference are required.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules. Sets up experiments as prescribed by a principal investigator. May be required to participate in laboratory maintenance activities such as sterilization and cleaning of equipment, ordering of supplies, inventory and media preparation. Maintains records, files and logs of work performed in laboratory notebooks and computer databases. Compiles data and records results of studies for publications, grants and seminar presentations. Employees in this classification may be required to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents. Performs related responsibilities as required by principal investigator.
