WellStar Atlanta Medical Center is currently seeking a Painter to join the Engineering team.

The Painter under general supervision of the Engineering Supervisor, performs skilled duties in painting, wallpapering, and resurfacing of buildings, fixtures, and equipment; performs duties independently in accordance with accepted trade practices. Sets the standard of excellence expected from the painters.


Required Minimum Education: High School graduation (GED)

Required Minimum Experience and Skills: Three years related experience. Previous vocational training and hospital experience preferred Extensive knowledge of standard practices and methods of the painting trade. Extensive knowledge of tools and work procedures wallpapering and painting. Skilled in mixing paints, matching and blending colors. Ability to read blueprints and specifications and calculate quantities and types of materials needed. Ability to answer the phone in a courteous manner and either respond to questions or tactfully defer to supervisor. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, families, and physicians.
