Financial Analyst Overview: The Financial Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely review and approval of vendor invoices. Reconciling those invoices to contracts and Purchase Orders; developing and maintaining vendor and contract master lists and ensuring compliance. Development & Administration � Develop and maintain a secure control environment over payment of vendor invoices for contractual obligations and other appropriate operating expenses. Assist with development of training materials related to Sourcing and Procurement support Analysis & Advice� Review and improve operating procedures for receiving, approving, reconciling and paying invoices. Reconcile invoices to contractual requirements. Recommend opportunities for improvement of processes and control environment. Consultation & Negotiation� Interact with operating managers, finance staff and vendors to ensure timely accurate and appropriate payment of vendor invoices. Continue development of interdepartmental relationships. Talent Management� Provide input to EIS staff training activities. Financial Analyst Requirements: Excellent organizational skills, verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex concepts to key stakeholders in a concise and useful manner. 5+ years of accounts payable experience Bachelor�s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience Requires an independent thinker and someone willing to ask questions Demonstrated skill in working with a variety of levels of staff to identify and resolve issues. Ability to perform ad hoc analyses and reporting as required Ensure internal invoice requirements are adhered to Ability to reconcile invoices to contracts and correct accounting errors Ability to make decisions and prioritize competing initiatives.
