The Software Engineering Manager will lead and manage multiple teams of software engineers in an agile methodology focusing on all aspects of Software Development Lifecycle. The Software Engineering Manager will be expected to collaborate with Product stakeholders and Project Management teams to ensure a quality product is delivered on time. A successful candidate in this role will be expected to handle competing priorities in a fast paced environment and be able to manage challenges that arise during the project lifecycle and communicate out when blockers run the risk of delaying a project completion. Responsibilities: Lead a team of full-stack developers in the implementation of product features which directly drive value for our customers. Takes responsibility for technical planning, architecture, development and delivery of a given solution. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning. Coach software developers on software development best practices. Not afraid to keep their hands dirty Qualifications: 10 years architecture and development experience Strong micro-services architecture experience. Deep understanding of frameworks and technologies for enterprise level web application development Extensive experience developing large scale public facing web applications Extensive experience with Spring technology suite Extensive Java/J2EE enterprise experience Experience with AWS or similar Cloud technology Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Extensive knowledge of SDLC processes and methodologies Preferred Technical Skills: Advanced to Expert in the following technologies o Java/J2EE o Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, Spring boot o Maven o Jenkins o Enterprise Design patterns o git Security first mindset; experience ensuring solutions are security sound Experience with Front end development technologies (AngularJS) is a plus Success working in an Agile methodology; with focuses on defining development plans to complete complex projects or new product development.
