Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to customers in more than 70 countries. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain, Columbus and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, merchandise display cases and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Kysor/Warren and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.
The Group Leader monitors, guides and works with a team to meet production targets.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Contribute to the team effort by focusing on achieving results that are linked to company goals.
Ensure that work is completed and tracked.
Instruct and train new team members.
Monitor parts and materials within the department and expedite when needed to ensure necessary supply.
Provide leadership in applying lean manufacturing and safety best practices.
Apply IT solutions as needed for tracking, monitoring and documenting.
Fill in for the production supervisor on a limited basis.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Expert skill in the area of specialization. Broad working knowledge of contemporary manufacturing and distribution processes. Able to read tape measure, perform calculations, and write legibly. Reads and interprets specifications and assembly schematics. Effective verbal communication. Displays sound judgment and leadership. Working knowledge of IT solutions. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
