Supervises storeroom personnel engaged in parts receipt, processing, storing, orderfilling, packaging and shipping in an efficient, safe and timely manner, consistently exceeding customer expectations and within conformance to company standards.

Supervise the activities of personnel and equipment to move inventory in the safest and

most cost effective manner. Supervises the material goods inside of the warehouse and the

disposition and safe storage of the goods/materials. Supervises and leads with a sound

knowledge of material management, and distribution/transportation processes and policies

to meet the business requirements. In addition, this position will ensure compliance with

all of the Clients’ rules and requirement regarding the handling of inventory and shipments.

Supervise and lead the warehousing functions of materials, equipment and supplies.

Supervise and lead work from a variety of source documents to verify quantities, parts,

destinations and timing.

Supervise and lead warehouse workgroup.

Responds to client calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete


Supervise and lead in other duties as assigned by management.

Supervises / leads a small work group (20-25 people) to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes.

The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of team members.

Is required to respond to customer requests and provide necessary information and assistance to complete orders.

Contributes to the development of an effective work force by assigning, directing and motivating employees to support our defined and documented processes and operating system.

Provides necessary on the job training.

Contributes to improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the process.

Embraces continuous improvement and the development of teams.

Maintains high employee morale by being a strong leader with the ability to listen to concerns and address any issues or challenges in a timely manner.

Typical internal customers include other sites within the 7 facility network as well as centralized network support. External customers include onsite customer liaisons, dealers and transportation providers. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems and implement solutions to ensure KPI’s are consistently achieved.

Limited travel required (less than 5% of working time).

Minimum Required Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

  2. 3-5 years’ relevant experience.

  3. 1-3 years’ management experience

  4. Basic mathematical skills.

  5. Ability to read/write and interpret documents.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  1. College degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  2. Warehouse experience.

  3. Logistics experience.

  4. Six Sigma experience. Ideally experienced in 6 Sigma methodology (ie Green Belt Trained)

Physical Requirements

  1. Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.

  2. Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.

  3. Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.

  4. Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

  • Strong focus on Safety & Quality

  • Experience with area boards and metric (KPI) management and Root Cause Corrective Actions

  • Experience with Oracle Warehouse Management System preferred

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Prior experience shipping hazardous material preferred

  • Prior experience supervising hourly team in a shipping operation is preferred

  • Service Parts / 3PL and or Automotive experience preferred

Additionally, the position requires knowledge of various purchasing and materials systems, receiving report processing, and state and federal shipping regulations.
