Job Summary: Responsible for daily delivery and pick-up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility. Deliveries/pick-ups must be completed according to established timetables. Responsible for obtaining verification of delivery of linen from unit staff. Responsible for responding to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted. Must access the needs of the customer and provide only the quantities needed to allow operation until the next scheduled delivery for the unit. Responsible for keeping pager on and in operation, as well as utilizing other communication devices supplied (SpectraLink or radio). Knowledgeable of all areas served. Interacts with customers to ensure linen is delivered in appropriate time frame and quantity is accurate. Accurately counts all linen in exchange carts that are being returned to the Laundry after retrieval from units. Recording data (item counts, cart identification) on appropriate forms so it may be entered into ControlTex. Responsible for accurately tracking carts leaving and arriving at the facility. Coordinates with staff and drivers the proper staging of carts being delivered and picked-up by drivers. Ensuring appropriate carts are returned to Laundry as well as delivered to the facility.

Required Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Minimum Experience : Clerical experience preferred. Customer relations and telephone skills required. Computer experience preferred. Control Tex software experience preferred. Previous linen delivery experience preferred.

Required Skills : Must be able to read, write and speak English and understand verbal and written instructions. Must be organized and attentive to detail. Able to work quickly and efficiently. Must be able to count and understand instructions given by supervisory staff.
