NETWORK CONSULTING ENGINEER
The Digital Life Support Engineer acts as the end to end Subject Matter Expertfor all issues related to Wireless projects for home automation and IoT. Thisengineer is responsible for the implementation ofcomplex solution on client's state-of-the-art Digital Life network. Interfaceswith 3rd party hardware and software vendors, while providing technical supportand lab assistance with all Digital Life related projects.
The position is a highly technical hands-on role where thecandidate will interact with the customer, implement solutions, and supportsystem level issues until resolution. The candidate will spend a considerable portionof their time supporting various application components, Linux virtualized servers,CPE devices and Cisco core network equipment. In addition, the candidate musthave excellent “soft skills” as customer interface is required.
Typical solutions to be implemented are based on virtualizedcloud environment, custom and open source software, security, application /network orchestration, UTRAN and all forms of Internet connectivity & technologies.
Applicant must be knowledgeable on all forms of accesstechnologies and comfortable with integrating network applications acrosswireless solutions.
Position requires extensive interaction with customers insolution implementation and troubleshooting.
5 + years related technical experience in Telecommunications
5 + years’ experience withextensive hands-on experience on Cisco Routing/Switching/Data Center
3 + years - Experience with computer based systems: LinuxAdministration, XP/Windows, NMS , SystemLevel Support
2 + years’experience related to orchestration/config management technologies andscripting (Ansible, Python, Shell)
2 +years related experience with OpenStack support or development
2 + years Wireless Systems
2 + years of Customer Relations experience - Must be able tomake presentations to customers and document all work in a professional manner
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/IT Related)
Work Related Travel
Ability to travel up to 35%
2 + years of IP networking(TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Multicast)
2 + years experience withdatabase administration/support (Oracle 11G, MongoDB, MySQL)
2 + years experience withextensive hands-on experience on Cisco Security/SDN
1+years of RF experience with RF and Wireless communications
1+years of understanding various routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/NAT/Multicast)
Workwith customer and engineering to resolve complicated system problems
Maintainup to date knowledge of the customer’s production configuration and third party apps
Self-motivatedand ability to work independently using his/her own initiative and judgment
RHCSA/RHELor comparable Linux system administration certification
Willingnessto adapt quickly to changing situations
