Philips Technical Application Specialist in Kennesaw, Georgia

The primary responsibility of the Technical Application Specialist will be to process and analyze business activities for the Field Product Support Manager.

You are responsible for

The Technical Application Specialist will work closely with the manager on various tasks, to include diagnostic field technical support, organizational LEAN mandates, develop management reports, and direct customer communications. The day-to-day responsibilities will be a mixture of project management for customer installations, and designing new installation processes (i.e. documentation control; database management for tracking 1) customer installation projects, 2) team activities, 3) SQL DB environments and 4) SharePoint site for daily management board. In addition, the Technical Application Specialist will provide business support to facilitate planning of projects, to ensure that goals and project objectives are met and completed within a set timeframe.

OUTCOMES: The successful candidate will:

  • Schedule and facilitate pre-installation conference calls with various IT specialists, Clinicians, Biomedical Engineers and Administrators at Hospitals and other Medical facilities

  • Manage customer installation project readiness and documentation, i.e. construction, electrical, network wiring, servers, SQL installation, network shares and track persons responsible for task completion

  • Schedule and facilitate Health Level-7 (HL7) conference calls and implementation

  • Perform pre-installation of Sleepware G3 SQL DB and network shares as needed

  • Develop SharePoint Virtual Daily Management Board, team CommCell and Installation Metrics

  • Develop and provide solutions for special projects as they arise

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, equivalent education or related field experience

  • A successful candidate will possess 3+ years’ experience using MS Project, SharePoint, and SQL DB, as well as superior MS Excel and MS Word skills

  • Professional phone skills and Customer Service Skills are required

  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus, not required

  • Health Level-7 (HL7) is a plus, not required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive training program on Philips Respironics Sleepware Diagnostic equipment

  • Requires the ability to perform in a sedentary work environment (e.g. office) on a regular basis while processing customer calls and emails, as well as facilitating conference calls and meeting schedules.

  • Occasional travel could be required up to 25%

  • Requires a demonstrated proficiency in use of standard office equipment – especially various computer software
