Monitor cultures for the presence of microbial growth.Responsibilities:This is a WEEKEND Day Shift position: F, Sat, Sun 0700-1930Perform testing of microbiological samples received from the Tissue Processing Laboratory including and Pre-process Culture, BacT, and Rinse Recovery samples.Test medical devices including bioburden and sterility testing.Centrifuge serological specimens and separate serum/plasma.Perform environmental monitoring.Collect water samples and perform associated testing.Perform housekeeping duties in the cleanrooms and laboratory, including assigned monthly cleaning.Perform set up of Vitek cards and test kits; interpret test results.Record daily instruments readings; take appropriate action.Read cultures and perform all tasks associated with Negative Bench.Perform and report bacterial identifications for environmental isolates.Qualifications:Must be able to work a WEEKEND Day Shift position: F, Sat, Sun 0700-1930Bachelors degree in a scientific field or bachelors degree and 2 years experience in a related fieldOrganized, detail-oriented, able to follow instructionsUses good documentation skills and performs accurate transcriptionsCapable of working without direct supervisionWorks well with othersMust be able to maintain a high activity level and be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilitiesCompany Info:Who We Are.CryoLife is one of the world's contemporary medical device companies providing preserved human cardiac and vascular tissues, surgical adhesives and sealants, cardiac lasers and implantable end-stage renal disease access grafts for the repair of complex cardiac and vascular reconstruction surgeries.
