Interested in becoming a DevOps Delivery Engineer at Aaron’s? As a DevOps Delivery Engineer, you will use a consultative approach and combine concepts from Agile and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) to grow platform use and empower development teams for future success. You will provide infrastructure, build-and-release, and CI/CD expertise to software development teams across the company, work with program teams to understand their product requirements, and provide guidance on developer platform implementation. You will also evaluate prospective engagements, draft proposals, and advise partners on how to achieve strategic development objectives, and work with senior software managers and architects to develop multi-generation technology plans. Implement an automated process for environment creation and configuration
Identify, document, and automate the installation and configuration of supporting systems, tools, and agents
Evangelize automation and process improvement throughout the IT organization
Create and maintain application performance and exception monitors, dashboards, and alerts
Work with other teams to automate requests using ServiceNow service requests, orchestration, and automation functions
Maintaining, organizing, and using version control workflows to store all configurations
Represent and build Aaron’s IT involvement in the Atlanta Technology community
2+ years working directly with and/or supporting a software development team
5+ years’ experience with Windows servers, 2+ years with Linux
2+ years’ experience in system programming and/or scripting. (PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, etc.)
Configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience integrating API's
Understanding of infrastructure as code concepts
Web Servers – IIS, Apache, Tomcat
Cloud/Virtualization technologies – Azure, AWS, or VMWare preferred.
Network Infrastructure – DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP, NFS, DHCP, SSH
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical communities
