A DBCI Project Manager is responsible for:
Managing project installations; coordinating construction process with Installers and Subcontractors
Being proactive in identifying problems in schedules and/or order entry that would cause delays in the customer’s desired ship date.
Responding to builder changes to order scope, services, dates, cancellations, pricing, and communicating the same to any affected internal personnel.
Being proactive in bringing closure to issues, such as unclear orders, lack of information from the Builder, etc., to minimize adverse affects on service and performance.
Verifying customer date requirements throughout the order’s life cycle.
Achieving accountability for all pricing issues from order entry to final pricing. Documenting and communicating all pricing changes.
Maintaining a tight schedule that often has late-addition requirements or changes in priority.
Promptly returning calls, e-mails and other correspondence that may originate from customers, subcontractors, installers, outside sales or manufacturing when they require assistance
Continually improving productivity, accuracy and ability so that I may expand my area of expertise.
Make it a priority to advance the capabilities of those that I work with that are lesser experienced while learning from those with more experience.
Protecting the company's interest when investigating field modifications.
Working extra hours to move forward on a deadline when I am asked to.
Understanding my role in the overall system and be willing to step outside that role when needed for the betterment of the company.
Responsible for providing and/or receiving back checking comments as an integral part of growth & training
2 or more years of project management or installation management experience within construction required
Metal component experience desirable but not required
Demonstrable evidence of business acumen
PC competent (including Excel and Word.)
Excellent oral and written skills.
Ability to interpret project specifications, drawings and other technical data
