The Director-ABS, in conjunction with the Acuity's senior leadership team, has responsibility for the continued development, promotion and strategically aligned implementation of the company's business system with particular focus on Transactional Process Improvement and "GROWTH TOOLS". Responsible for building and maintaining a culture of continuous enterprise improvement that permeates the entire organization.

  • Participate in the definition and development of the business group strategy. Drive the appropriate use of lean tools and ction plans within the group in support of the corporation's overall strategy.
  • Work with subject-matter-experts to develop and implement growth tools (such as VOC collection, sales funnel, value selling, value pricing, new product introduction, and product life cycle management, etc.) Assist in identifying and supporting opportunities to enhance profitability and growth.
  • Provide thoughtful insight and counsel in support of the organization's objective of A-player talent. Assist in selecting, developing, leading and coaching the team with the goal of meeting/exceeding targeted goals.
  • Ensure the business group is implementing the appropriate lean tools (e.g. VSM, Transactional Process Improvement, variance reduction, etc.) to maximize productivity and minimize lead time in the front and back office areas.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class lean processes and infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business group.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the execution of any key special projects (ex.: M&A activity, major CRM/IT upgrades, etc.).

Knowledge of, and/or familiarity with, a variety of TPS/Lean tools such as: VSM, Standard Work, SIOP, Daily Management, 5S/Visual Management, Transactional Process Improvement, etc. Ability to design, develop and execute lean business system roadmaps.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent

9 to 12 years
