Ballard Spahr LLP has a career opportunity available for an experienced Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join our Intellectual Property (IP) team in the Atlanta office. The paralegal in this position is responsible for assisting IP attorneys in servicing clients' intellectual property matters, including primarily the preparation, filing, and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications.The ability to remain organized, make good judgments and apply new ideas in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities is essential.Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two to three years of IP practice experience with expertise in patent prosecution, including the preparation, filing and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications (both PCT applications, national stage entries, and direct foreign filings). A college degree and/or a paralegal certificate is required.Technical requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with patent and trademark search databases is required.
