This includes coordination of all day to day matters and supervision of the employees who are employed under the janitorial contract. The Janitorial Floor Care Services Supervisor is responsible for all activities contained in the statement of work as well as the training of employees and program participants in appropriate work performance and behavior. This includes directing the activities of the team in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work. Excellent customer satisfaction must be guaranteed.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:* Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating all services in the statement of work.* Meets all quality standards in the Statement of Work (SOW) and contract.* Sets an example and holds team members accountable for performance, customer service and employee engagement.* Reinforces proper use and care of materials, equipment and tools, ensuring safe and effective practices.* Schedules work and set job priorities in an efficient and responsive manner.* In consultation with the employee, devise customized job accommodations for employees when appropriate.* Supervises and trains all employees by providing routine on the job safety and custodial best practices training and monitor the progress as required by the SOW.* Coaches and counsels employees when performance issues occur with a goal of improving future performance.* Serves as the contact point for any questions and concerns expressed by the Customer.* Responsible for coordination of time sheets, accident/injury reports leave requests, and other reports as required by policy.* Responsible for compiling and submitting any/all performance reports.* Maintains inventory of supplies, ordering when necessary, to perform all aspects of the job as outlined in the statement of work.* Monitors employee work hours worked in accordance to budget.Qualifications:* Mission driven, guided by core values and a pleasure to work with.* Knowledge and experience of performing periodic floor care services including hard surface tile, carpet, terrazzo and Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) strip and refinish.* Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of floor care cleaning equipment.Special Skills/Abilities:Analytical:* Strong analytical skills needed to analyze various job tasks and develop strategies to train individuals in these tasks.Oral Communications:* Strong organization skills needed to prioritize all aspects of contract operations.* Clearly communicates needs of job and advocates for participant.Leadership:* Strong leadership qualities required to supervise employees and effectively interact with varying levels of site personnel.Organizational:* Strong organizational skills needed to prioritize all aspects of contract operations.Problem-Solving* Strong problem solving skills required to develop strategies to overcome obstacles and problems.Equipment* Familiarity with large riding scrubbers, floor cleaners, shampooers, buffers and related basic trouble shooting skills.Other Qualifications or Requirements:Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time; ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds without ...
