DAL Global Services Marketing Product Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia


Delta Global Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Inc., has a Product Specialist Job in Atlanta, GA through our Staffing Division. The gift card business is experiencing a high level of growth, and the Airlines is expanding their team with a Product Specialist that will be part of a dynamic and fast-moving team working across the retail, B2B and direct-to-consumer gift card sales channels.

In the Product Specialist Job,thecandidate will support and execute the Airlines' Gift Card program's key growth strategies, with a focus on increasing direct-to-consumer sales volume and enhancing the customer purchase and redemption experience. The position will play an integral role in growing top-line direct sales by broadening the program's marketing and eCommerce presence, by working closely with Corporate Sales organization to build awareness of the Gift Card among Airlines' Corporate client base, and by forging new direct corporate/bulk purchaser relationships and sales leads.

This individual will use his/her experience in product planning, marketing, management, distribution or merchandising to grow awareness of Airlines' gift card product, improve the efficiency of direct gift card sales channels, and provide a best-in-class customer experience for both gift card purchase and redemption.


  • Execute on the Gift Card program’s strategic vision to create a best in class gift card product.

  • Coordinate the development of direct channel promotions and marketing planning.

  • Requires cross-divisional interaction with Delta’s Marketing, Merchandising, and eCommerce departments as well as the gift card program’s marketing agency.

  • Research and identify opportunities to profitably grow its gift card program through generating new direct bulk-order sales leads and distribution channels.

  • Identify, engage and solve gift card-related purchase and redemption customer service issues.

  • Support the corporate/bulk order process including ordering, payment, tracking, fulfillment and post-order customer service.

  • Oversee all operational aspects of direct-to-consumer and B2B bulk purchase gift card web sites, including:

  • Managing the 3rd party gift card e-commerce vendor to ensure seamless and timely product refreshes.

  • Coordinate creative changes with the program’s marketing agency and the vendor.

  • Performing regular quality assurance checks and managing vendors to troubleshoot on day-to-day basis as needed.

  • Maintain company policies and procedures around the product for both employees and customers.

  • Work with frontline RES and ACS training groups to ensure appropriate knowledge levels around gift card policies and procedures are present during customer interactions.

  • Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to the customers and Airline.

  • Build and leverage relationships with Airlines' Global Sales organization to create bulk order gift card sales leads.

  • Represent company and create sales leads at incentive industry trade shows and events.

  • Works on special projects or other duties as requested.


  • 3+ years work experience in either eCommerce or brick and mortar retail industries:

  • Product planning, marketing, management, distribution or merchandising experience required, preferably within the gift card segment.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related fields.

  • Cross-functional project management background and proven ability to work well with diverse groups in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision.

  • Proactive, results-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong presentation, negotiation and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point are required.

  • Microsoft Access and Hyperion/BRIO skills along with working knowledge of Revenue Pipeline tables in enterprise warehouse highly desirable.

  • 10-25% travel required to visit vendors, close leads, and attend conferences.
