Manager, Strategic Sourcing

Responsible for the sourcing of global and regional technology services, and/or any other sourcing categories as deemed appropriate. Will be responsible for drafting RFx (Request for Information/Proposal or Quote) and other related documents necessary for sourcing required products and services. Directly responsible for negotiating terms and conditions of accountable engagements and coordinating internally as appropriate. Will work closely with business owners, supplier relations, technology planning, information technology, telecom and finance to maximize and leverage BCD Travel's sourcing and leverage any existing partnerships. Responsible for the development of global strategic sourcing programs ensuring the coordination of other stakeholders where appropriate.


  • Negotiate agreements with various suppliers (global, regional, and local, etc.):
  • Develop RFx (Request for Information/Proposal or Quote) templates and obtain quotes supporting commercial matters in support of the BCD Travel and executing sourcing decisions via the RFx process
  • Establish negotiating strategies to leverage BCD Travel's position and strategic partnerships
  • Aggressively negotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies
  • Manage global contract database, ensure completeness and accuracy with appropriate security level access in place
  • Establish and maintain global vendor management program
  • Reviews a variety of sourcing requirements from cross functional business leaders
  • Utilize most efficient sourcing strategy to satisfy request based upon the scope of work required, materiality of project and other pertinent business factors
  • Support internal meetings and events staff on hotel negotiations and other procurement functions as required


  • 2-4 years Supply Chain Management experience supplier and contracts negotiation
  • Demonstrable understanding and proficiency associated with the usage, intent, context, application and enforcement of commercial terminology, language and obligations in supplier agreements
  • Prior experience working on technology, telecommunications and other types of sourcing engagements
  • College/University degree
  • Fluent in business English
  • Extensive knowledge of supplier contracts, proposal and bidding practices and principles
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written & presentation), Able to influence various team members of the organization
