Home Depot IT Staffing Coordinator in Atlanta, Georgia
Coordinators are responsible for supporting Information Technology recruiters in the hiring process of new associates. This responsibility includes managing the distribution of resumes, scheduling candidate interviews, bringing candidates up from the lobby and preparing new hire paperwork. When hiring an associate, it is the Coordinator's role to prepare offer letters and packages, implement all testing, background investigations and drug screens, arrange relocation of new hires and ensure correspondence is complete with all other candidates.
Overall, Coordinators offer support to recruiters, as well as ensure the job placement process and new hire process is completed according to SOP. Successful Coordinators have strong skill in managing time, communicating both verbally and in writing and getting things done.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sort and forward all incoming resumes and JPRs to appropriate departments and/or recruiters; resumes are sent in via fax, email and/or regular mail.
Prepare offer letters and offer packets for new hires; offer packets include a cover page with first day instructions, benefits and stock information, drug testing form and drug testing locations and a list of acceptable documents for new hire employment paperwork.
Responsible for faxing background investigation consent forms and The Home Depot employment applications to the appropriate people; arrange contact with the most recent employer as a background check when necessary.
Ensure drug screen and relocation information is complete and accurate.
Ensure all candidates who submitted a resume to SSC Recruiting and those interviewed who were considered unqualified receive notification letter.
Responsible for the completion of new hire paperwork.
Ensure all job requisitions are posted under the appropriate departments.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to the Manager Talent Acquisition.
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
