Warbird Consulting Partners is seeking an Interim NextGen Clinical Trainer for an exciting opportunity with one of our clients in the Illinois area. The implementation will be an exciting redesign and optimization as the current NextGen customized system isn't fully functional for the hospital system. Our client has requested this type of work for a specific project and has enga ged Warbird to find the most qualified consultant for the project.

The NextGenTrainer should be able to:
Design and execute educational activities for end-user training focused on NextGen and also train the clinical staff (physicians and nurses).
Primary Trainer for all Quality Program Initiatives
Promote awareness of the Electronic Health Record system by utilizing various communication techniques including, but not limited to, creating handouts/flyers, and web-based notifications
Participate in design sessions for system development
Maintain all training databases (eLearning) and develop methods to include identified issues in training documents
Train and coach end-users, super-users, and training support staff for optimization initiatives
Develop detailed Quality Program curriculum content that includes, but is not limited to, leader/student guides, quick reference materials, job aids, scripts, and workflow scenarios.
Collaborate with Management on resolving any specific problems and tailor programs as necessary
Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor degree in a related field
Two to three years’ experience in NextGen clinical training of electronic health records
Preferred, 4 years experience in direct patient care (clinical, nursing, or allied health) or 2 years experience in clinical applications support in the healthcare industry or a degree in Medical Informatics.
NextGen EMR clinical experience
Comprehensive understanding of clinical workflow and healthcare based information technology preferred.
Ability to provide a range of systems training and support activities for end users of varying skill levels.
Knowledge of Health Care Delivery System and HIPAA Security requirements preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors, speak in front of groups and write policies, procedures, memoranda and training materials. Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential.
Knowledge of computer maintenance, software support, cabling, security, hardware selection and installation preferred.
This opportunity is targeted for +6-8 months in length. This is a Monday - Thursday travel role to a highly desireable location in the Chicago, IL area. All applicants must be able to work on a W2 and authorized to work in the US for any employer.
