DAL Global Services GSE Training Coordinator in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

Delta Global Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Inc., has a GSE Training Coordinator Job in Atlanta, GA through our Staffing Division. In the GSE Training Coordinator Job the candidate will be responsible for providing technical training for Ground Maintenance Technicians and Ground Maintenance Mechanics . Training may be in the form of any combination of computer based training, classroom training, distance learning courses, or ad hoc training sessions on the shop floor. Courses and course material may be provided by equipment vendors, third party training establishments, in-house resources, or by the Training Coordinator.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:

  • Identify appropriate training needs through various means of analysis, including employee surveys, GSE personnel interviews, Reliability Program data, and safety necessity.

  • Will acquire appropriate training products, according to the identified need and will be responsible for the quality of the training.

  • Monetary costs must be considered in order to meet department budget goals, and provide an effective return on investment.

  • Post training analysis will also be required, to evaluate effectiveness of technician/mechanic learning.

  • Responsible for course scheduling, communicating the schedule, and aiding with technician and mechanic enrollment.

  • When course development is necessary, the Training Coordinator will connect the appropriate GSE subject matter experts with the training provider, or may act as the subject matter expert directly.

  • In some cases the Training Coordinator may develop and deliver the training material personally.

  • Interface with vendors, GSE mechanics, GSE managers, and other company personnel on all levels.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Instructional Design or a technical degree with instructional design experience is required.

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree.

  • Adult Education or equivalent job experience is preferred.

  • Former automotive or industrial maintenance or training experience is desired, and airline ground support equipment experience is preferred.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrate presentation skills, and the ability to interface with personnel on a wide range of levels.

  • Microsoft based software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and graphics software.

  • Must be highly motivated, self-disciplined, accurate, organized, and be able to work well under deadlines.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience working with an acceptable instructional system design process, such as ADDIE.

  • Formal instructional design system training preferred.

  • Candidate must have critical thinking and problem solving skills.
