Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Rehab Charge Nurse will deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patients and significant others, while maintaining, the standard of professional nursing. The Rehab Charge nurse will be responsible for acute care healthcare for patients returning from the hospital as well as all other second floor residents.


  • Be congenial to residents, family members and associates and respond in an appropriate professional manner.

  • Must be able to respond to residents in an independent living unit during an emergency.

  • Excellent technical assessment skills required.

  • Work environment involves slight physical risks or hazardous conditions and exposure to communicable diseases, which require following basic safety precautions (wearing lab coats, rubber gloves, face masks, etc.). To the extent that the employee complies with precautionary measures, this risk is reduced.

  • Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Current Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia

  • Good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing

  • CPR certification

Must have 3-5 years’ experience in Med-Surg, Long Term Acute Care, or similar setting.

Work Schedule:

• Full Time: 6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Monday – Friday & Every other weekend
