Director, Talent Management

Atlanta, GA

  • The Director, Talent Management is an integral part of the HR leadership team. He/she serves as a thought leader in the development and implementation of progressive organizational strategies, programs and initiatives that drive profitable growth and enable the business to deliver on its business commitments. Role reports to the VP – Talent Management.

  • Lead people strategy development and choices to compete and succeed . Drive the creation and alignment of an integrated HR strategy as part of the overall business strategy. Collaborate with and influence senior leaders to prioritize strategic people priorities and solutions that accelerate the achievement of business priorities.

  • Design organizational structures that will deliver business success . Assess existing organizational design(s) and co-design new structures to drive improved performance. Work with the market/business/function leadership team to define the organizational effectiveness needs, design and facilitate solutions.

  • Foster a culture of coaching including support of the overall coaching strategy . Facilitate and train staff in coaching model. Providing coaching and feedback aligned to talent management processes and programs. Manage external coaching resources in support of key initiatives.

  • Facilitate organizational effectiveness including team intervention design and delivery, team coaching and assessment delivery and feedback / coaching sessions.

  • Support through training and facilitation the strategic performance management process including strategic and organizational strategy design, goal setting, development roundtable, coaching and feedback.

  • Lead / manage the assessment center in coordination with leadership development programs and succession planning and leadership bench development.

  • Interpret data and generate original insights for strategic talent priorities . Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to define underlying problems and drive continuous improvement of talent priorities. Be an insights advocate that reviews external data and trends and provides relevant insight back into the business. Creating compelling solutions to keep the business ahead of the competition.

  • Deliver strong results through the expertise, resources and connections of your network . Partner collaboratively across HR and Global Services to optimize the effectiveness of the business. Proactively monitor and ensure market/business/function receives the right people support to enable the execution of their business strategies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Experiences

  • Experience in leading significant change and business transformation

  • Leadership and/or working exposure to all parts of human resources (HRBP, COEs and Shared Services)

  • Worked within a matrix organization; achieving results through effective influencing and collaboration.

  • Successful experience in creating, implementing and executing people plans for business

  • Sustained success leading, coaching and developing people in a high performing team environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field

  • 10 -15+ years progressive experience in HR disciplines with a strategic focus or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years’ experience managing HR professionals and/or people leaders

  • Experience working with, coaching and influencing senior leaders

  • Proven experience in a leadership role in a growing, evolving organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in business, HR or a related field

  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR

  • Assessment and/or coaching certifications

  • Psychometric Assessment certification

  • Consulting experience in a fast-paced environment
