Director - Global Commercial Channel Managment (WD30036153130)RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:Under general direction, leads commercial excellence for the global products selling to channels organization. This role is a part of the Global Channel Sales and Operations leadership team focused on driving local market strategies related to channel development, channel management and commercial best practices across the global product sales teams to focus on helping our customers win and driving sustainable growth within Building Technologies and Solutions' Global Product business.PRINCIPLE DUTIES:Leads the development and deployment of the overall channel sales and operations playbook including the development and maintenance of the Global Channel Management playbook of processes, tools and best practices.Leads the education, plan and execution to regions on best practices and commercial approachesPartners with regional leadership to drive local adoption and implementation of playbooks globally, assisting in development of local best practices and contentLeads development and deployment of channels management maturity assessment including oversight and direction on regional plans to drive improvementSupports Johnson Controls Operating System for world class channel sales excellence including channel sales models and supporting tool sets. These models and tools will allow Johnson Controls to be known as 'one of the best channel sales companies to sell for.Actively seeks, captures, and makes available to the entire channel selling organization best practices and techniques that lead to profitable growth in market share across all channels.Develops channel sales programs to aid sales strategies and growth programs as required.Partner with IT on Channel sales technology requirements (e.g. tools and systems)Leads the development of Channel Sales metrics to support operations reviews with committed methods and KPIs that gauge health of channel management effectiveness.Performs other duties and projects as assigned.LOCATION: Role can be based in any major US metro market.#externalQualificationsEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent experience.
