Reference Code: 1701864 Position Title: Compensation Manager Location: Atlanta, GA Reports to: Vice President Compensation Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the compensation function for the Company, and directly for various divisions and functions. Assembles, prepares, reviews, and summarizes business unit recommendations for major compensation projects: salary increases, short-term and long-term incentive compensation. Manages projects for implementation of new compensation programs. Gathers and analyzes information related to employee compensation for all Newell global locations. Responsibilities: Serves as subject matter expert on compensation programs and policies for HR and Business teams Communicates guidelines for compensation activities to business divisions Enables HR and leaders through education and project manages the annual compensation review process including base pay increases, bonuses and equity Reviews and provides consultation on compensation recommendations during the annual cycle and throughout the year to ensure business alignment and to support talent attraction and retention Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action Conducts needs analysis with business and prepares special studies and recommendations on a wide array of compensation subjects such as incentive compensation, and bonus plans. Will use expertise and be expected to help with process re-engineering across the organization Provides communication and interpretation of compensation policies to HR and leadership Conducts market analysis of individual jobs and across the organization for divisions and corporate functions Assesses new or revised positions to determine appropriate levels, ensuring compliance with any related legislation Qualifications Key Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a proven business partner with experience in a global company. S/he will have a proven track record of managing compensation and total reward projects and programs, as well as analyzing compensation strategies and processes that clearly support the objectives of the business. The successful candidate must be hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution.
