Expected Weekly Hours:
The Certified Medical Assistant works closely and under the direction of a licensed psychiatrist. Performs basic patient assessment procedures including vital signs, infection disease control and universal precautions. Performs interpretation for clients and staff as applicable. Monitor and order medical supplies and materials under the guidance of the Nurse Practitioner and/or Clinic Manager. Performs EKG with the guidance of a licensed Medical Provider. Performs light administrative duties, such as copying and filing. Participates in health fairs or community events on weekends as requested 3-4 times a year.
The qualified applicant will have a High School diploma required. Graduate of medical technical school preferred. CMA certificattion required. A safe driving record and valid GA driver's license required. Be willing to travel to various organizational locations. CDL may be required. Six months to one-year previous experience in health related area required. Experience in phlebotomy, conducting basic lab procedures, and client education is required. Foreign language may be required. Experience and knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA and CLIA guidelines. Proficiency in conducting basic patient assessment procedures including vital signs, infectious disease control and universal precautions. Proficiency in performing phlebotomy techniques and basic laboratory procedures. Must have compassionate attitude and good communication and listening skills. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Evening hours may be required (hours maybe extended to 8:30pm)
