Job ID: 15151Position Description:Primary purpose:Provides straight forward solutions to problems, routine engineering support to operations and maintenance personnel and manages multiple projects.Essential duties and responsibilities- Manages tank projects or portions of larger capital and major maintenance projects- Prepares estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and contract specifications for projects- Ensures compliance with tank integrity schedules and state requirements including inspections needed to be in compliance with local air permits- Coordinates design and construction activities with operations, field personnel, procurement, engineering, and construction contractors and manages projects toensure on budget and on schedule completion- Provides support to field maintenance technicians and operations staff- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for assigned projects- Manages multiple projects and tasks concurrently- Appropriately communicates with his/her manager on status and developments of projects assigned and / or in progressPosition Requirements:Education:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil EngineeringExperience/Specific knowledge:3 - 5 years practical engineering experience in refining/pipeline / petroleum terminals / utility field(s)Understanding of and ability to apply basic engineering principlesProject management experienceKnowledgeable in API-650 and API-653 standards.Knowledgeable in DOT Regulations (40CFR195), particularly as it pertains to Atmospheric Breakout TanksCertifications, licenses, registrations:Possess and maintain valid driver's license and be insurable by company's insurance carrierPossess or ability to satisfactorily obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.Competencies, skills, and abilities:Ability to apply engineering principlesAnalytical problem solverAbility to coordinate and manage concurrent or simultaneous projects of various sizes, in various locations with various completion dates.Ability to use Microsoft Office System (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
