This is a high profile role reporting to the Vice President - Global Sales and the BDM will: Champion sales forecast accuracy. Champion customer intimacy with the Category Manager within the sales team. Champion CRM tool and utilization to provide clear, timely communication around customer intimacy.The BDM will have daily interaction with the Fine Paper and Packaging sales team, Director of Marketing, Category Manager and other key members to build individual and corporate strategies to drive sales performance. In this role, the Manager will partner with the sales team in the achievement of Volume, Price and Revenue goals and drive the strategic account planning process. The Manager will drive Fine Paper and Packaging Division (FPP) analytics, benchmark performance and provide insight to identify and support profit improvement initiatives. Individuals with B2B manufacturing experience desired. Neenah produces high-grade fine paper, packaging, filtration and performance materials that are recognized in the industry for their brand, image and performance; www.neenah.com.Responsibilities:EXPECTATIONS: Sales Executiono Organize and execute the annual account planning process.o Develop yearly sales plan.o Partner with sales leaders to deliver volume, price and revenue growth YOY.o Partner with sales leaders to grow share YOY across 6 key areas: Classics, End Users, Packaging, Core WTC brands, WF.o Help identify and execute incremental opportunities and programs.o Identify concern areas and gaps and coordinate efforts to address (i.e. prevent 'surprises').o Constantly monitor team performance vs. benchmarks and pursue improvement opportunities.o Work with finance to create sales incentive programs to drive the correct behavior and meet profit goals.o Manage customer incentive programs (manage expense while maximizing volume) Drive Profitabilityo Facilitate processes to evaluate business opportunities (Capacity, Pricing, Marketplace Impact, and Competitive Landscape).o Provide strategic insight regarding current performance and opportunity areas for Profitability Improvement.o Identify products that are "profitability challenged" and work with the Project Management Team to improve costs.o Set and manage sales T&E budget.o Identify under-performing items and work with marketing to improve performance. Forecasto Work with team members to ensure accurate and timely forecast inputs. Monthly goal is to be within +/- 5%.o Create and provide a monthly forecast scorecard to track results to goal.o Ensure that there are 'no surprises' by providing reporting and insights, facilitating regular forecast review meetings and delivering clear and timely communication.o Provide additional focus and 'deep dive' in forecasting processes and results where required. Communicationo Provide Fine Paper & Packaging Division (FPP) with benchmark reporting, analytics and insights on a disciplined schedule.o Maintain constant dialogue with sales leaders regarding business and needs.o Facilitate the connection between field sales, marketing, operations and supply chain.o Drive utilization of the CRM tool to facilitate communication of sales efforts to upper management.
